Legendary Portland and Vancouver newspaperman Herbert Campbell and his wife Ann Campbell co-wrote a journal in 1918. They detail their honeymoon in White Salmon, Wash., and their move into their first apartment in Portland, Ore. Herbert worked at The Oregonian newspaper at the time, and he writes entries about end of World War I, then called The Great War, and the Spanish Influenza pandemic. The journal also includes an adventure to Mt. Rainier to trek over glaciers in 1921. The 44-page journal was transcribed by their great-grandson, William Campbell, co-owner of The Columbian, and published for the first time in December 2024.

These books are limited, and only 40 of these journals are available to buy. Shipping cost included in retail price.
